Belize is very fortunate to posses a variety of fishing situations and habitats. Our coastline has a vast array of rivers, lagoons and brackish estuaries that hold every imaginable species of fish that lives in these environments. Inside the reef, the cayes, sandbars and tidal flats, are dynamic fish producing habitats.
If it swims in the Caribbean Sea, it can be found in Belize. The Big 3 flats species, tarpon, permit, and bonefish, are all available here in abundance.

If you're serious about chasing a "Slam", there is no better place anywhere on earth. The skinny water fishing is that good and it's supported by a guide base that is first rate. Fly fishing or spin casting, the fish and guides will not disappoint. And, whether you want to target permit for the week or are interested in a mixed bag of species, Belize always delivers.
