Welcome to Belize.
The living is easy down here and the fishing is excellent. We take great pride in showing our guests what a fantastic country we have and we work 24/7 to ensure that your hard earned fishing trip is everything you envisioned it being. We are the only company that runs trips throughout the entire country of Belize and that includes all three of the coral atolls found off the coast. We only specialize in fishing Belize and unlike the many “conglomerate companies” who claim to be experts in booking fishing trips to all corners of the world, we actually live and work in Belize.
Wouldn’t you rather book a trip with a company whose sole focus is the one location that you are considering? Our business is fishing Belize, not Christmas Island, the Bahamas, or Russia. (The only exception is our Giant Tarpon River Trip in Southern Honduras) We have been fishing the waters of Belize for the better part of 35 years and there are few who know the waters better than we do. This knowledge should be working for YOU!

Most people have less time than that, but we can still do some extraordinary tailor made trips that only take a week to 10 days. If you’d like to a real mixed bag trip, we can put something together for you that can include a few days of fly fishing, a few days of golf and several days of deep sea fishing. Our customized trip itineraries are limited only by your imagination.

The county of Belize has so much to offer anglers and there really is no other place where the variety of species available is nearly matched by the different number of fishing situations that are found along our coast. Whether you fly fish, spin cast, troll, or are interested in deep sea, fishing our guides are ready to put you into fish. We practice catch, photograph, and release and are firm believers in the practice of sustainable development.

The huge mangrove estuaries of Belize play an enormous role in the continued quality of the fishery. These forests act as breeding grounds for all manner of species that swim the waters of the Caribbean Sea. When fishing the mangroves of Belize, you never know what species of fish you’ll run into. On Ambergris Caye, for example, the bonefish swim and cruise the mangroves in excellent numbers, while in Southern Belize you’re far more likely to run into some snook or jacks. You just never know!

Off the coast, between the reef and mainland, Belize has hundreds of islands of varying sizes and populations. Some of these islands, like Southwater Caye, are located right on the reef. We will frequently be chasing bones or permit on the flats only to end up outside the reef when weather allows, chasing bonito, tuna, and dorado. Where else can you do that in a single day?

We have the country covered from top to bottom and have a variety of trips to meet all budgets and time constraints. Our customized trip have become very popular and if you’ve got 2 weeks we can put a trip together for you that will allow you to fish from one end of the country to the other, as we did this year for a fly shop in Montana.

The pristine lagoons and rivers which run throughout the country are a brackish Mecca for tarpon and snook. These waters also hold surprising numbers of permit, as the now famous Ycacos Lagoon has demonstrated for the past 20 years. In the past 3 years we’ve stumbled into several coastal lagoons where we were amazed by the number of permit we found. These locations are closely guarded secrets but we do fish them regularly with great results.

The jewel of Belize’s eco-system is its Barrier Reef, which runs down almost the entire length of the country. The reef attracts every fish in the ocean, from small flats dwellers like box fish to big pelagics like wahoo, tuna, and marlin. Small fish find food and shelter in the reef which in turn attracts much larger predators. Huge schools of baitfish also follow the reef offshore which leads to some dynamic Blue water fishing.

The coastal waters of Belize boast three of the four Atolls found in the Western Hemisphere. Lighthouse Reef Atoll, Turneffe Atoll, and Glovers Reef Atoll are each excellent fisheries. The beauty found within each of these coral atolls is nothing short of incredible and has to be experienced to be believed. Inside the atolls, bonefish and permit can be found along with the usual reef suspects like jacks, cudas and snappers. Outside the atolls, the water depths drop sharply from the placid greens of the shallows to the rich blue hues of the deep. The offshore fishing from the atolls is virtually untouched and we are the only company that runs trips to all three of these locations.
