For those who are looking for a truly unique experience when planning their next trip with us, we have a fantastic property that will please even the most jaded of travelers. This private island, located right in the middle of some of the best fishing grounds in all of Belize, has been converted into a stunning, par 72 Championship golf. An airstrip has conveniently been built on the southern end of the caye, which means that guests will fly into and out of the island from the airport in Belize City with ease. The flight takes 10 minutes and guests will by flying directly over islands and flats that they’ll be fishing later on in the week.

The standard of excellence in terms of both accommodations and service on the island are second to none in all of Belize. The gorgeous beach front villas are spacious and richly appointed with every amenity available to pamper guests. Each villa has 2 beautiful master suites which are equipped with A/C, satellite TV, phone and fax service, daily maid service, and a private sun terrace from each master suite. The powder sand beach is right at your doorstep, as are the bonefish.

The swimming pool complex includes the largest heated mosaic tiled pool in Belize, a nine person hot tub, the palapas roof bar area, and cascading fountains. The native hibiscus and bougainvillea highlight this tropical oasis and many non anglers and non golfers are content to relax here for hours on end with a good book and a cool cocktail in hand. For those who love to golf, the four Par 5 holes average a distance of 560 yards from the tips, with a long par 72 boasting more than 7000 yards of extraordinary views of the Caribbean Sea and Barrier Reef. The links are impeccably manicured and hazards abound with a multitude of cat-tailed lined lakes, native birds, unpredictable trade winds, and yes, even… crocodiles… along the lake banks. There are no round limits for guests and even better, no Tee times!

If guests are interested in a couple of days of deep sea fishing from this location, the fishing outside the reef is very productive. Wahoo, tuna, marlin, sails, dorado and kingfish can all be caught and our 30 foot diesel powered vessel is professionally rigged for the largest fish that swim the Caribbean. Our Captain, Pete, and his first mate, are very skilled and love to fish the blue water. Be prepared for some long days on the water as there is no clock watching here! Whether it’s fly fishing, spin casting, golf, deep sea fishing, or any combination of these great outdoor pursuits, we’ll tailor the trip to your exact specifications. Please contact Rich for more details and pricing.

The smaller Casitas on the western side of the island are perfect for 2 guests or a couple and each comes fully equipped with A/C, satellite TV, mini bar, phone and fax service and daily maid service. The islands facilities are of the highest standards in vacation properties and we can accommodate groups of up to 40 guests at any one time. Located between the front and back nine, the Clubhouse is the centerpiece of the island. It houses the restaurant, bar, gift shop, locker rooms, and conference facilities.

For anglers, the location of this island is an absolute dream come true. The entire area is loaded with productive flats, channels, banks, and near by mangrove estuaries. The fishing is done mostly from flats skiffs but there are some good areas to wade as well, including a couple of nice permit flats to the south. Guests can expect to target bonefish, permit and tarpon when fishing from this location. In fact, we have caught all three species within a hundred yards of the island. The fishing is that good! The Savannah Flats are a 20 minute boat ride from the island and Long Caye to the south in less than 10 minutes. Both of these locations are among the best tarpon fishing that Belize has to offer. In the summer, the tarpon congregate at the south end of the island!!! The consistency of the tarpon fishing in the spring and summer is such that this is one of only 2 locations that we run our Tarpon Schools from.
